MAN - Museum of arts of Nuoro

The musem is located close to Garibaldi avenue, one of the main street of the town, it was built in the 20's, and was used as headquarter for the Provincial Institution.
As a museum was opened in the 1999. The first collection of the MAN made up with the contribute of the province, the municipality, the office for the turism and the Chamber of Commerce. During the years the collection was improved. 
In 2004 the museum got the status of authonomy, becaming an Intitution without a legal personality, and is now part of the National Association of Museums of modern art.
In 2013 the museum won the prestigious title of Regional Museum of Excelence.
Open in winter: 10:00 - 13:00, 15:00 - 19:00
Open in summer: 10:00 - 20:00 (Monday closed)
Every first Sunday of the month the entrance is free from 10:00 to 20:00
